Marcus Sedillo

Marcus Sedillo joined Gatton & Associates, P.C., as an Associate Attorney in March 2025.  Previously, he served as Associate Attorney and Staff Counsel for Martinez, Dieterich & Zarcone Legal Group.

A 2018 graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor, Marcus’ first position out of law school was as an Associate Attorney with Giddens & Gatton Law, P.C. (the predecessor firm to Gatton & Associates, P.C.). Since that time, he has served as an Assistant District Attorney and in the Law Office of the Public Defender, and has also practiced in the areas of family law and insurance litigation. He is admitted to practice in New Mexico, in U.S. District Court of New Mexico and U.S. Bankruptcy Court District of New Mexico.

Marcus joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 2006 as an aviation ordinance technician; he served deployments in Iraq (2008) and Japan (2009-2010). Once discharged, he returned to New Mexico where he earned an associate’s degree from Central New Mexico Community College and a bachelor's degree from UNM. He was recognized as Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch, Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency in 2020.

During his free time, Marcus likes to spend time outdoors with friends and family, as well as with his adopted cat, Vincent.
